Jim to Receive 2010 NAB TV Chairman’s Award!

Jim Parsons, Emmy nominee and star on the critically acclaimed CBS comedy series “The Big Bang Theory,” from Warner Bros. Television, will receive the 2010 NAB Television Chairman’s Award during the NAB Show Television Luncheon. Sponsored by VCI Solutions, the Luncheon will be held Monday, April 12 at the Las Vegas Hilton.
“Jim Parsons is a singularly gifted comedic talent who provides laugh-out-loud entertainment every Monday night on CBS,” said NAB Television Board Chairman Paul Karpowicz, president of Meredith Corporation Broadcast Group. “His breakthrough performance has helped revitalize the sitcom genre, and NAB is proud to recognize him during this year’s NAB Show.”

January 17th, 2010I’m sure you are all aware of the events that have taken place in Haiti recently. If you are looking to donate there are numerous great organisations out there who you can give money to.
I did however want to give a bit of promotion to the Livejournal community Help Haiti, where many great LJers are offering up their time and talents to create fanworks across various fandoms for those who bid on their auctions.
Also, one of the major TBBT communities and an affiliate of this site, Paradox (a fan community for Sheldon/Penny), and many of its members are offering up TBBT related goodies in terms of fiction and/or graphics. If you want to take a look at what is being auctioned, a Master List of auctions is available for you to check out here. There are some very wonderful people contributing their talents, so make your way over there and bid on some of their offerings, with all auction proceeds heading straight to the various Help Haiti charities.
